When it comes to art, faces are my passion. While I love so many styles, mine tends to be driven by pen & ink and watercolor. When drawing faces, I love how every line tells a story and helps package a personality.
When I draw people from afar or in a public place, my mind wonders in fascinating ways about their history, when they gave up on their looks, why they work out so much or whatever little detail strikes me as odd.
The overweight and the elderly are my favorites.
Perhaps my greatest joy is seeing my kids develop the same talent. Our home studio is littered with cameras, sketch books, art journals and walls filled with art.
