I was blessed with Dyslexia from a very early age. When I read words, they meant nothing. I couldn’t form a “mental picture” nor understand what I was reading. Personally, I didn’t need a mental picture because the world I experienced was far more colorful, animated, and loaded with character.
The arts were always my calling, but I always felt I had to be something different. While doing many things, my private life was spent drawing, playing music, doing photography and finding ways to engage my creativity.
After achieving my goals in the music industry, I eagerly dedicated my life to the world of advertising agencies. I kept my photography and illustration talent to my self and focused on art direction & design. While my time with ad agencies was rewarding, I felt they tended to drain every ounce of talent from you while spreading your time too thin.
My goal was always to combine my talent with my other love, fishing. If I could be outside hunting, surfing, fishing or exploring the great outdoors, then that’s the life for me. I started Cabin Fever Communications 1997 as a part time freelance company and then opened my doors full time in 2003.
Since then, I’ve tried to remain true to my soul focusing only on things that make me happy and contribute to my creative interests. My company grew big and then scaled back down, once again allowing me to be hands-on with my clients.
I have three boats and rarely miss an opportunity to use them. My approach to photography isn’t typical and that’s probably because of my marketing background. Finding the best shot motivates me and I’ll stop at nothing to make it happen. I’m a chronic work-a-holic that’s fueled by my love for life and passion for the arts.
Photography takes me all over the world and nothing makes me happier than hearing the response from clients and customers as they experience the life I’m seeing through my lens.
